Are you having problems? Read the FAQ below BEFORE you contact us otherwise you may not get an answer if we know the answer is already here

Although the Ents Booking program has been tested on Win95, Win98, Win ME, NT, XP and Win7 problems can occur during install or other programs installed may affect the installation. Before installing make sure all other programs are shut down, including those that run in the background such as anti-virus software

Is there a trial version ?

A

Yes, on the download page, you will need the trial code to get it to work

Can I modify the contracts ?

A

Yes, you can alter the Word based contacts to suit you, see help file for further details

Can I email contact to clients?

A

No not directly, but you can also get a PDF writing program that works just like a printer driver and creates the PDFs for you then attach them to an email


Q

I have installed it, run it and it keeps telling me to run the set-up.

A

The program MUST have the set-up run and ALL the required fields filled in before it will work, this includes the trial version. Please read the help file, there is a section on ‘Setting up the Ents Booking Program’ that gives you a step by step guide.

As I install it I get an error message and it will not install, why?

A

When you downloaded from the Internet it’s in the form of a ZIP file. This is a compressed file that needs to be extracted (Un-Zipped) before you install it. Newer versions of ZIP programs allow you to access the contents of the directory without unzipping it, you cannot install a program while the file is still zipped. To extracted (Un-Zipped) right click on the file and extract it. Depending on what form of zip program you are running you should see an option to unzip or extract.

I have tried to install it and when I run it nothing happens, why?

A

As will installing any software you need to make sure that nothing is already running. Close all programs before installing

I have downloaded the program as I start to install it crashes.

A

This is most likely that is has not downloaded correctly, the ZIP file will unzip but may be corrupt. Delete it and re-download the zip file


Q

Can I install it on more then 1 system and run it over a network?

A

Yes you can set it up over a network and install is on as many machines as you
like, I do NOT charge for installing it on other systems.

To configure ENTS Booking to run over a network you need to alter the DBP.ini file in the install directory. change the DIR= add you FULL network path.

eg DIR=\\myPCname\C:\Program Files\netRESULTS\Ents Booking\Data

The path where you set the data directory to is the “master” data, this PC must be switched on in order for other PC to access the data

Q

How do I update ENTS booking

A

Should there be any new updates please download the latest EXE from
HERE and save it some where safe (like My Documents)

  • Right click on the downloaded file and extract (unzip) it
  • Copy the EntsBooking.exe file into the main install folder (C:\My Documents\Ents Booking 2011 )and say yes to overwriting the existing one
